What inspired the creation of the Interview Angel padfolio?
Brent Peterson lost his job (along with 40,000 other company employees) when retail giant Circuit City went bankrupt during the economic recession. Brent spent his time off at the public library diligently researching his next employer. He then went overboard to prepare for his next job interview knowing how much competition there was for each job opening. Within two months, he secured new full time employment.
Then as an employee interviewing other candidates (including former Circuit City co-workers) , he became acutely aware of why great people weren’t getting hired. It wasn’t because of their resumes or connections, it was due to a lack of preparation for job interviews! From that experience, he set out to create something innovative to help other people shine in job interviews. The end result was a unique tool for a job seeker to actually use in the job interview to stay focused, confident, and organized.
What is the story behind the name Interview Angel?
When the idea for the company was born in June 2008, we searched for an available business and web domain name that would combine the word Interview with a word synonymous with guide or toolkit. We were also looking for something distinctive. Interview Angel was available and as they say, the rest is history.

Is Interview Angel itself a non-profit organization?
Interview Angel is a registered and incorporated small business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For sustainability purposes, we are a for-profit for non-profits. Our business model and social commitment is to give first on every new customer purchase.
Is Interview Angel geared toward a certain profession or industry?
Interview Angel is designed to focus on the specific applicant and position. Therefore the Interview Angel system can be successfully implemented by anyone seeking any job, in any industry.
Should I invest in the padfolio even if a job interview isn’t lined up?
Yes. Common feedback we receive from customers is that they didn’t realize how much work was involved completing all the preparation worksheets even before their next interview was scheduled. The padfolio has also been used successfully by customers who simply took the initiative to schedule an informal or informational interview over coffee or lunch with another professional.
How many pages is the Interview Angel program?
The entire toolkit including the guide to inspiring the hiring manager, all worksheets, checklists, and templates is 112 pages. The toolkit is organized with professionally imprinted tabs for your quick reference prior to and during the job interview. This total does not include the 8 customer bonus items that are shipped with the product.
How much time should I allow myself to complete the Interview Angel program in advance of an interview?
We recommend at least three days to complete the necessary preparation worksheets and to review the interview guide, checklists, and templates. You only get one chance at your dream job. Please do not go into the interview unprepared.
What if I have questions once I receive Interview Angel?

Yes. This is a common question that stumps a lot of people. Interview Angel teaches you how to respond to this question in a positive and effective manner.
Is Interview Angel available at any retail store?
All customer purchases originate at www.interviewangel.com. To provide an additional delivery choice for our customers 7 days a week, the company is currently evaluating options for on-demand pickup at a national retailer.
This option is currently being tested at an OfficeMax retail store in Virginia (10091 Brook Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059). Customers in the Richmond, VA area are welcome to select this on-demand pickup option at checkout to avoid shipping and handling charges.
How much is shipping and handling for Interview Angel?
Shipping and handling is calculated based on the destination address and the customer’s desired delivery time. Interview Angel is shipped via UPS. Street addresses are required for delivery.
We strive to fulfill all orders received by 12 pm EST by the next business day. Customers will receive an email notification when the product has shipped or is ready for pickup.
Interview Angel Inc. is also committed to the responsible conservation of the Earth’s resources. Interview Angel is printed on 30% post-consumer recycled paper and shipped in minimal, lightweight packaging materials to preserve resources and save on fuel used for transport.
Is Interview Angel available in electronic form?
Yes and No. All worksheets, checklists, templates are available electronically via the website for no extra change for padfolio owners. The padfolio and professional tab structure are integral to the effectiveness of the Interview Angel system and are shipped via UPS package with multiple sets of the files noted herein.
Is gift wrapping available for Interview Angel?
At this time, gift wrapping is not available. However, we will continue to evaluate our fulfillment services to better serve our customers. Customers are permitted to add a comment like a birthday, holiday, or graduation wish to any order shipped directly to a gift recipient.
Is Interview Angel available in other languages?
